How to play

1Read the paper
Each case, one player is the informant. Only they see who the suspect is. It can be anyone, even themselves.

2Write one clue
The informant finishes the sentence: “Sources say the suspect…”

3The paper hits the table
Everyone sees the clue. Nobody sees the name.

4Point at a suspect
Pick who you think it is. Think it’s you? Tap Me! (escape).

5Read the front page
The result: who got caught, who escaped, who ran for nothing.
Scoring
- Name the suspect: +10.
- The suspect escapes (points at themselves): +20, and the informant gets nothing.
- Run when it isn’t you: −10, off to jail.
- Informant: +15 if someone names the suspect and they don’t escape.
Quick example
Nour is the informant and the suspect is Maria. Nour writes “is always late, always with a good excuse”. Omar recognises himself and escapes, but it wasn’t him: −10. Nobody names Maria, so the trail goes cold.
Tips
- Informants: be subtle, or the suspect escapes.
- Running is risky. Only escape if the clue is clearly you.
- Watch who looks nervous when the paper lands.
