Privacy Policy

This policy covers whosaidit.party ("Who Said It", "the site", "we"). It explains what information is processed when you play, and how advertising on the site works.

Information the game itself processes

Names and answers you type in. The nickname you enter and anything you write or vote on during a game are sent to our server only to run that game session (a Cloudflare Worker/Durable Object), and are shared with the other players in your table. We don't ask for real names, email addresses, or any account sign-up, and gameplay content isn't kept once a table's session data expires.
IP address. Your IP address is briefly processed server-side to prevent abuse (for example, limiting how quickly one connection can create or join tables). It isn't used for advertising and isn't shared with anyone.
Game counts. We keep a running count of how many games are played in each game mode, how many reach the final scores, and how many players they had. These are just totals: no names, table codes, answers or anything else about who played.
On-device storage. The site stores a few small preferences directly in your browser's local storage (such as whether sound is on), so they carry over between visits. This stays on your device; it isn't sent to us.

Advertising

This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites on the internet. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

Children's privacy

Who Said It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
